I am backing up office documents and a couple of scanned images.
I perform a routine backup with Norton 360. I select shut down computer upon completion. Hour later, it is stuck at Total Files Completed: 72…I do not have anything else ultilizing the internet in the background…bittorrent…firefox…liveupdate…
Have you tried to run your backup again since you experienced this issue? There are numberous reasons both locally on your machine and across the internet why something like that could get stalled. If it happens to hang on the same file after repeated attempts then it is definitely something we can work with you on resolving.

Yes, now it seems to work, only extremely slowly...
then i noticed that i was backing up 800 mb of files....I remember I selected office docs and pics.
I also have installed the norton 360 microsoft oem version. i think it has 250 mb of online storage rather then 2 gb with a fully activated one… how is it possible to back up 800mb to a 250mb space? Or is it just not happening?
You should receive an error message if you have run out of space. To double check and see if your data has been backed up you can go to the restore pane and see which files are available to restore. Only files which have been successfully backed up will appear there.

Hi TechOutsider,
If you could provide a bit more information it would assist us in addressing your concern:
What OS are you running (including service pack if you know)?
What version of N360 are you using?
How much data are you trying to back up? Are there any unusually large files in your backup set that it might be stuck on?
