In the company I have for years inside a wired Ethernet network with gigabit swich D-Link. Computers on the network have static IP in the range 192.168.2.x All computers have Win XP and for years it was no problem. The network and computer are not connected to the internet. 3 years new, powerful computer has Win 7 and so far it has worked well in the network. The computer has 3 NICs. Two Ethernet and one WiFi. One Ethernet is connected to the X-ray camera and the other to the internal network. Wi-Fi card has a connection to the Internet. Win 7 system sees the wired network but only as a public network. Only WiFi network can I defining as a corporate network or a home. Somehow it worked to the last update Norton 360 firewall me this program cut off from wired networks. On the Norton 360 network map wired networks are not visible but the firewall blocked both two networks. The wifi network work OK. Previously, I could set the computers on a wired network as trusted and everything worked. Now there is no such option. He does not see that computers and they can not be set as trusted.
This is important for me computer on the network and now to other computers on the wired network can use its resources when I had to turn off wifi module and disable the firewall. After contact with the support made available by Symantec and Symantec's Remote Desktop techniques also could not make it.
What to do?
I think that the problem relates to the fact that win 7 sees only wired networks as public.
