Norton 360 Causes Wireless Internet Connection to Disconnect

I recently upgraded one of my systems from Windows Vista Home Premium SP1 64-bit OEM/RTM and did a clean install of Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit FULL Version.  I downloaded all the updates from Microsoft, have the current BIOS, and downloaded all the current drivers from hardware manufacturers (even when to the wireless card manufacturer and installed the current driver from them).  I also have Norton 360 v4.3.0.5 installed with the current updates.  Then I started noticing that the Wireless connection started disconnecting.  If I disable anti-virus and firewall, I don't have any issues.  If I have Norton enabled, then I will lose the connection and then a few minutes later I will get it back, then wait a while and I will lose the connection, wait a few minutes and get it back.  It is a repeating process and I cannot figure out how to get Norton to stop disconnecting the Internet connection.  I have another system that has Windows 7 and when I first installed Windows 7 and Norton 360 on it I never had this issue.  When I run the troubleshooter everytime I lose a connection I always get 1 of the following 5 error messages:

The connection between your access point, router, or cable modem and the Internet is broken

Your broadband modem is experiencing connectivity issues

The default gateway is not available

Investigate router or broadband modem issues

Reset the "Wireless Network Connection" adapter

I asked Microsoft about this and they said it was my anti-virus/firewall software.  I asked HP about this and they said it was my anti-virus/firewall software.

What is the issue with Norton.

Did you check the Network Security Map in Norton 360?

If not, check that first and make sure that your wireless router or device is set as Full Trust.

Was this a Custom install or a Clean install of Win7?

Did you format the harddrive and install Win7 or just upgrade from Vista to Win7?

I am not sure. I know that I was able to see Where do you want to install Windows, clicked on Drive options (advanced), then select the drive I wanted to format, and then clicked on format.  Then followed the instructions to install after that.  I don't know if that is a custom install or not.

I set it to Full Trust.  Also in Network Security Map it has this system listed as a desktop when it is a laptop.  I also noticed that for the IPv4 Address is 10.0.1.4, but when I wne to speednet.net it said my IP Address is 24.154.171.154 which is differnet.  Which one is correct.  I don't think IP addresses for Windows start with 10.x

After making that change in the Network Security Map in Norton and using the Internet for about 40 minutes,  the Internet connection died.  The messages I listed that I get from the troubleshooter that I get the most is:

The connection between your access point, router, or cable modem and the Internet is broken

I don't know what to do now.

I still don’t know if it is a Norton issue or if something else is.

Do you have your other system connected, and does it stay connected?  Is it just this machine or both?  When I had a similar problem, I asked my ISP for a new router, which fixed the problem.

Let me start of with a little history on the 3 laptops.  One of them is an HP dv6500t has Vista Home Premium 32-bit OEM/RTM (that i upgraded to Service Pack 2) that is mine (purhased December 2007), another is an HP dv7-1275dx came with Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit Service Pack 1 OEM/RTM that is my parents (I claim it sine I do all the maintenance on it and all the updates and it was purchased March 2009) that I recently installed Wndows 7 Home Premium 64-bit FULL Version and I remember picking the option drive options (advance) and selecting the drive and then selecting format before Windows 7 was installed and then I went and got the drivers for all the hardware and installed all the updates from Microsoft.  I also own a MacBook Pro that has Mac OS X 10.6.6 and Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit on it.  The HP dv6500t and macBook Pro have no connection issues.  I started with a Cisco LinkSys Router that was purhased and about 15 months later replaced it with an Apple Time Capsule (AirPort Extreme Base Station with hard drive).  I never noticed a drop connection for the Internet on any of the 3 systems when connect to the router in Time Capsule.  I changed back to the Cisco router temporarily to see if there was any change.  HP dv7 still disconnects, but not as often.  I was also recently told that the dv7 was doing the disconnecting  when Vista was on the system.  I don't know what the issue is with that system.  The only time I have issues with the other HP and the MacBook Pro is when the power goes out or the Internet is down.  the HP 6500t and MacBook Pro both have Broadcom wireless cards and the HPdv7 that has the issues and an Intel wireless card.

I don't know if Norton is blocking something, or if the wires from the motherboard to the wirless card are not making a good connection cause there might be dirt or something that is not allowing for good contact, or a wire from the board to the card is damaged, or if there is something wrong with the card.

Does the HP6500 have Norton installed?  If so, is it connecting without issue?
