Norton 360 Changes my WiFi to local area connection

Hi
For some unknow reason to me Norton with VPN activated changes the internet access icon in the bottom right corner on Windows 10 from the classic rainbow symbol to the computer with ethernet image indicating I am on a local area connection.
Does anybody know why this is happening when I am on WiFi?

What you are seeing is what I have always seen on my Win 10 system when enabling the VPN. Although you are connecting to the internet with a Wifi connection, Windows is showing that you have connected with another local network, the VPN.

Without VPN.

With VPN.

You can use this as an indicator that your VPN connection is still active.
