Norton 360 Deluxe 2 Year payment notice a Scam?

Just got an email today (10/31/23) stating my order was been successfully placed.

Product item was "Norton 360 Deluxe 2 Year" and payment was already made through PayPal.

It goes on to say "if you did not approve this charge, you have 12 hours to do so. Please contact our customer care (855-459-5307) to cancel and receive an instant refund for your membership".

Since I did not order this, I'm guessing this is a scam to get me to call the above number.

I checked my credit card and pay Pal and there is no indication that any payment has occurred.

Just checking with the Norton Community to confirm this in fact is a scam!

its a phishing scam there are various versions of this , bought some iphone, or whatever

some come int he form of looking like a real invoice

some less real looking in appearance

always report those ( full header ip address )

You're most welcome.
