I am thinking this may be SPAM, using Norton 360 current subscription, offering me free Norton 360 III Deluxe free for 12 months, when clicking on the link WITHIN THE NORTON 360 APP a new tab opens in windows Norton Site sign in page ,after signing in offering free 12 months & asking for Credit card details and advising auto renewal after 12 months, $179, when searching for the product details on google Norton websites come up with the same product but for $69 , I know it is important to have internet security in my personal experience I have found when trying out free offers or trial offers you need to make sure AUTO RENEWAL is un ticked, do not worry about forgetting the due date because you will get reminded and you will also be reminded you have un ticked the auto payment option, I have found these from my bank statements.
I know we all need a trusted internet security, but I often wonder about the pricing, I don't think the pop ups for specials, discounts and free software which is only free for 12 months after giving card details should be advertised on your app, leave it for emails you can choose to stop.
Also, THE AUTO PAYMENT RENEWAL SHOULD BE LEFT FOR THE CUSTOMER to select and not automated by Norton, I would say a lot of customers would not be aware of this especially the elderly or lack of computer skills until they go through bank statements and see the deductions. Would be interested in other thoughts on this.
I have been using Norton for few years and other security software always paid subscriptions and others also have auto renewals, some more difficult to stop and when you do stop it a WARNING SECURITY RISK POPS UP.
