This is the easiest way to avoid it to be deleted. Are you sure it is an ok file?
Thank you 4runner for the info. I just checked the forum on the game and as it turns out it was exactly what you said, just didn't know how to do it with norton 360.
Ok, so i followed what 4runner said, and eventually got to the file exclusions tab. The only problem is, the button that allows me to add files to be exluded is grayed out. is there a reason why it wont let me add files?
When you get to the file exclusion menu there should be three buttons, New, edit and remove. Until you select a file or file format from the left, the edit and remove buttons will be greyed out, but the New button should work. Are you saying the "New" button is greyed too?
I recently installed a game app. on my pc. Now every couple of hours norton will detect the game.exe as a virus and delete it. Is there any list on the norton 360 that i can add this game to, so that it will not be detected? Thank you for reading and I hope to hear an answer soon.
you could add the folder that it is in to exclusions... open the norton 360 main window and then click settings in the upper right... then Virus and Spyware protections.. then change to the file exclusions tab on the top right,... then click add, then click the browse icon and navigate to the folder, make sure to check include subfolders (probably) and ok out of everything....
remember no one is telling you the game is not a threat, you just ask how to keep it from getting deleted... so there is a suggestion... at your own risk.
most likely tho it gets detected as a keylogger because of the speed of reaction they want from they keyboard.. so they just stick a hook in and grab the keypress before its processed by anything else... and it gets nailed as a keylogger for doing it that way...
EDIT: left out a step
