Norton 360 failed update

Version 22.50.5.39

Windows 7 home premium

The norton autofix message says "please contact support for further assistance"

Live update failed - license expired

Internal error - unable to verify your subscription due to an internal error.

This is not the first time this has happen, full uninstall and reinstall the last time, frustrating

This issue was resolved by a Norton Technician. We are closing this thread. Thank you.

Have you had, or do you have any other security software / antivirus installed?

The My Norton UI view shows the message 'Internal Error' the subscription data and everything else is missing.

If I use the 360 app UI and click on 'Open Norton 360' the message is the same 'Internal Error', if I click on 'Help' the view changes to the help centre, if I then click n subscription status or enter product key - nothing happens.

I have an error code 8505, 128

LiveUpdate :: Failed - License Expired

I'm even struggling to find an uninstall tool so that I can totally remove the app and reinstall it.

BTW- windows 7 is up to date and has service pk 1.

My subscription is ok, as I have said it has over 200 days left to run.

Is this shown in your Norton product's UI, or are you just seeing this in your Norton Account?

Have you restarted your computer, and made sure you have all the latest Win 7 updates? You do have SP1 on this device?

If your 360 app is not showing the correct days, try the AutoFix again to see if it can complete this time.

My subscription is ok, as I have said it has over 200 days left to run.

The norton 360 application is not working, it's not scanning, not updating, it has deceased.

Thanks for your reply.

First thing I would try is open Norton and go to Help > Get Support.  Next would be to click Help > Subscription Status, then try Live Update again.

Please let us know the result.

Thanks.

Is your subscription current? = 203 days remaining according to my norton

System time, date and time zone correct.

Is your subscription current?  Your post says, " Live update failed - license expired ".  You may want to ensure your system time, date and time zone are all correct as an incorrect clock can mess with activations.
