Norton 360 False Advertising

Why does Norton claim to offer cloud backup in their 360 product for MAC’s when in fact it won’t work on a MAC? This is false advertising. The only way I found out that it doesn’t work is after I bought the product. What a crock!

I fully understand and I have been looking for an alternative to Norton. What I find is the better apps do not offer much support for apple. Some say due to the MacOSX system changing they can’t keep up and their developers are not cashing in on a gold mine of opportunity. BUT consider the anti-virus , Norton is always listed at the best out there. So for me , I use icloud and backblaze for online backup. I use 1password and the apple password instead of Norton and when my subscription expires in June, I will just use the anti-virus unless something better comes along. The safe email sucks, the customer service double sucks so yeah, I would recommend trying to get a refund, delete what is there and either get just the anti-virus or something that doesn’t claim it can and doesn’t.

Thanks Weatheraardvark,
I will take your advice and look at Norton’s antivirus product only and not renew the 360.

I’m familiar with how to cancel, request a refund and turn off the auto-renew. I don’t bother with chat because most often times that’s a useless attempt to resolve anything. I also stopped replying to survey requests. I figure that if I and enough other customers just stop buying a poorly designed service or product, the company will eventually get the message and fix their broken junk or simply go out of business.

What I am going to do is concentrate on the antivirus protection. If I decide to stay with Norton, it will be for the antivirus only and downgrade the subscription when it expires. I have looked at other companies, but Norton has the best detection rating so far. The big issue is will it stay compatible with all the updated operating system from Apple or will they sort of cover it. Intego is good for mac, but it is 4 separate programs and i don’t want that.
