I have been using Norton for years I think it’s the best. I liked the security and how it ran in the background. I forgot it was running it ran so quiet but still keeping you safe. Todays version does not run quiet at all. I constantly get notifications and pop-ups telling me to scan my pc. That’s not all I get notifications about device health subscription status driver updates and web security threats. I don’t know if you can turn them off but this is way to much. Every time I use my computer I get a notification from Norton and it’s usually garbage. Why can’t it run quietly in the background anymore it’s like a nuisance and taking over my computer. It’s so bad I don’t know if I will use it next year.
Agree! Now I find out that Norton 360 back-up function does not recognize a local external drive back-up and continues to remind you to back-up as "your data is at risk"! Wasted over 50 mins with support only to find out that this is the way the Norton 360 software is written. How about a fix Norton?
special offers is under advance settings in classic mode but it can only close 80 to 90% but it is still better then nothing
could be your settings i.e. the ones you can change
in adminstrative setting in about the middle as you scroll down turn off special offers ( classic mode)
also may want to check your schedualed task ( might be another issue you see), make sure those are all unchecked and set to manual only
