Norton 360 IDS Calls Blacklist as Malware

I have been using the paid app Calls Blacklist (CBL) on my Android phones for years with no issues. Now today Norton 360 has ID d CBL as Malware. I tried clearing the cache and data in 360, still ids CBL as malware.

What's up? I Norton 360 wrong and Calls Black list is safe? If so, how do I stop the very annoying notifications from 360 every couple of hours that CBL is malware? If CBL is malware, what changed?

Thanks

Grumpy

Thank you both for confirming.

Calls blacklist no longer showing up as malware on either of our phones. I did have to run a new scan on one phone to correct the problem. thanks for resolution on this issue.

I just checked this morning after seeing the email and the above message and I'm all good here now.  It is not flagging Calls Blacklist as malicious any longer.
It seems to be working fine now.
THANK YOU!

Hello @WildPony and @GrumpyOldTimer7,

We have made further changes in our definitions regarding this app. Our tests show downloading the app from Play Store does not trigger the detection now. Please verify and if you still experience the detection, share the screenshot of the detection.

Thank youyes

Thanks

We'll try to call attention:

Why is there no more info about this?  Looks like last post was on 8/11.
Same issue here with my Pixel 4 and my wife's Pixel 6a.  I have also tried everything mentioned in the above posts to no avail. I've updated definitions and reloaded...nada.
Obviously a false positive.  Why has this not been dealt with by now?
?????

Hello tomas

Any up date on this issue?

Thanks

FYI, I just checked and getting same malware alert in 360 on wife's Galaxy a14 5g. Same Android, 360 and CBL software and versions.

Sorry, I thought you wanted the 360 version.

Calls Blacklist PRO version is 3.3.8, last updated 10/3/22

Is there any option in the Calls Blacklist app to see its version please?

OK version is 5.67.0.230802003 Norton 360 premium

Galaxy s20 5g unlocked on Verizon

Android 13, up to date

Thank you for the additional info. We have just removed a detection from one more file of the Calls Blacklist app. Could you please share the app version as well? We'll verify more versions but knowing the one you have installed would be helpful.

OK version is 5.67.0.230802003 Norton 360 premium

Screen shot att.

Hello @GrumpyOldTimer7, thank you for your quick response and feedback. Please share the version of your Norton 360 app and a screenshot of the detection. We'll then review the detection again.

So, after I got above (just now) that Calls Blacklist (CBL) was no longer considered malware, my Galaxy s20 Verizon 5g Norton 360 was still showing CBL as malware. I restarted the phone, still MW. Then cleared all data and cache and restarted phone, set up 360 again, still MW.

So, do I need to do something else to get my install of 360 up to where you think it should be, that is CBL will not show as  malware?

Please advise. Very frustrating.

Hello @GrumpyOldTimer7, upon further analysis we have verified your submission and removed the detection from our products. Please verify and let us know if you still experience the issue.

Appreciate it. Thanks.
