Norton 360 is Blocking Youtube Upload

Hello Guys. A few weeks ago, I was able to upload on Youtube perfectly fine. But now, When I try to upload, Norton 360 keeps on blocking me out. I've tried turning Smartfire Wall, and Anti-Virus Auto Protect off, and then Uploading, But it still gets blocked. I need some help please.

The URL is the Upload Page on Youtube. Im using Firefox 3.6 I tried Downgrading to see if that would work, but it didnt. I've check the Mozilla Forums and found nothing, and I also tried doing this on Internet Explorer and still couldnt upload.

Hello goodkillik

Within the last week or so, you probably received the update for N360. Your latest version should now be 3.8.0.41. Perhaps along with this version change, your firewall may have changed also. Instead of turning off the firewall, please try writing a rule to allow YouTube uploader and move that rule to the top. I think you can do things like that with N360. I know you can do that with NIS.

Can you explain to me on how to write a rule? Or direct me to a topic that explains it please?

Hi,

It sounds like Intrusion attacks related to Browser security feature. Could you try disabling 'Browser Protection'  and 'Smart Firewall' from N360 (although not recommended) and check if it works?

Or you may also create a firewall rule : firewall rule is explained here

Karthik

Hello Karthik_Swamy

The original poster already tried disabling the smart firewall.

I just tried turning off Browser Protection, but I still cant upload.  Turned off Smart Firewall again, Tried to upload, but it still keeps on getting Blocked. Just tried making a rule for it, Still got blocked.

Hello goodkillik

Did you move the rule to the top of the list and then reboot your computer?

If you think that it is a false positive, you can submit it to Symantec for further analysis. Please follow these instructions depending on what you want to do.

Please use this link if you think that a file is a false positive: https://submit.symantec.com/dispute/false_positive/

If there is a possibility that the file might be infected, please submit it to Symantec using this link:

Another alternative which is fast you can use Threat Expert:

Hope this helps.

The problem is that Its not a infected file, Its when I try to upload to Youtube, the upload gets canceled and said that there was a recent attack was blocked, and it shows me the screenshot that I posted. And, I dont believe that its a False Positive. Cause this Norton 360 worked perfectly fine, until this update or something killed it.

Hmm, I still cant explain what hapened, but I just recorded another video and tried to upload it, and it worked. Some reason when I try to upload the file I wanted to orginally, it still gets blocked. Oh well, Guess I'll just have to record it again. Thanks for your help.
