Norton 360 is detecting Adblock plus for internet explorer as a virus

Norton is detecting Adblock plus as a virus then deletes it for safety reasons, I tested it on Virus total and it came with this: https://www.virustotal.com/en/file/089b949141a0ad6f6d98c1d67e295815b60778c7a27ba777dd664dc08fae25eb/analysis/1374929669/

and I put this problem in the Adblock plus forms too: https://adblockplus.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=16870&sid=a4c4cff1aae5f369d5bdc51869e51da7  Can you please help?

Hi,

You can submit the file as a false positive at the following site.

This link shows AdBlock Plus being in development for IE   https://adblockplus.org/en/internet-explorer

Norton does not support beta software. It is probably being detected by the Download intelligence as an unknown file.

Not sure which version of IE that you are using but in IE 10 you can try "tracking protection", there are filter lists that are based on those used by Adblock Plus.  I would give it a try and see if it can give you at least some of the protection that you get from Adblock Plus in Firefox...

There are still a lot of issues with Adblock Plus for IE and I for one wouldn't use it on my daily machine just yet.
