My Norton 360 is not scanning properly and just freezes when it comes to a file called, "W32.Korron.B." I checked Google and many sites say that it's a worm and to do all these actions. BUT I don't about any of those sites and I don't want to do as they reccommend...The Norton community seems more reliable in my opinion :)
Someone please help me!!
I'd ask Norton proffessionals, but they seem to want to charge for help -_-
Norton is not scanning the file listed, but is looking to see if that file is on your system.
Have you left the scan to try to see if it will complete?
Another thing that often causes issues with scans is a physical problem with the hard drive.
To check your hard disk, click on the Windows Start button. In the search box type CMD. Right click on cmd.exe and click on run as administrator. In the command prompt type "chkdsk c: /r" without the quotes. A message will come up asking if you want to check the disk on the next restart. Answer 'Y'. Reboot and the check disk will run before Windows starts up. This check will check the file system as well as the physical disk surface. This scan can take a long time, depending on the size of your hard drive.
