Norton 360 Multi-Device and Mobile Security

I just downloaded Norton 360 Multi. After installing on my pc's, I installed the mobile version on a Droid Razr. My question is: Can the management of the phone's security (setting up blocked call lists, buddies, adding passwords, etc.) be managed from the PC through my Norton account or does it have to be done with the phone?

Hi jsharwel

Welcome to the Norton Community Forums.:smileyhappy:

Reading your post i noticed you mentioned Buddies, now the new

version of Norton Mobile Security 3.0 from the Google Play Store

does not use the buddy system any more for unlocking.

As RMuruge noted you can only change the mobile device Security

Pin from the Web Based Control Panel for NMS 3.0 and not version

2.5 And the password is now replaced with a 4 digit pin in NMS 3.0

So my guess is that you have downloaded the Norton Mobile Security

apk from the Norton servers using your web browser and installed the

old version of NMS 2.5, you can check this by opening the NMS app

tap Menu > About version ?

If it is version 2.5.404 you are entitled to install the latest version of

NMS version 3.0 from the Google Play Store using one of your 5 installs

from the Norton 360 Multi-Device product.

You just have to uninstall NMS form your device if it is the old version

using your settings -

Gingerbread - Mneu > Settings > Applications > Manage Applications

> NMS > Uninstall

Ice Cream Sandwich- Menu > Settings > Applications > NMS > Uninstall

Now go to the Google Play Store app your Droid Razr and search for Norton

Mobile Security also known as Norton Antivirus and Security or Norton

Mobile Security Lite.

Download and install NMS Lite on your device, now open the app and use

your Norton Account details linked to your Norton 360 Multi-Device to sign

in when asked which will activate the NMS Lite version.

Now if it does not automatically activate to the full verson using one of your

5 N360M-D installs when signing in, select Upgrade to Full Version, then

select i have already purchased the product.

This should now activate one of your N360M-D installs as NMS 3.0 full version

on your Android device.

Installing NMS 3.0 now allows the users to not have to use the Norton Anti-Thetf

Plugin and web based NAT Control Panel. ;-) One less app to install.

Norton Mobile Security 3.0 has it's own Web based Control Panel from where

you can make your device device Scream and you can Lock and Locate and

also remotely wipe your device.

Cheers.:smileywink:

NOTE- For this install of NMS 3.0 to activate to the full version you must have an

available install left from your N360M-D product. You can check how many installs

are remaining by logging into your Norton Account on your PC and check the

product info and installs. You can use the link below-
