I currently have two Norton 360 software packages covering 6 Windows PCs expiring. I have been trying to install Norton 360 Multi Device (5 devices) but the CD Rom only goes as far initiallising Norton 360 then hangs. In the past upgrades I have done, the new program has unistalled the previous version then gone ahead with the upgraded version.
Do I have to actually remove the previous Norton 360 from the computer myself for Norton 360 Multi Device to install?
Secondly, If I unistall Nortons 360, do I lose all my passwords, access ro past backups etc or will they remain for access by the new Nortons 360.
or Thirdly, Have I just bought a lemon.
Any help would be appreciated.

Have you tried just entering the new product key from the main user interface? Click on Renew, then on I have a key or code. NOTE this will erase any remaining time on your subscription, so do this when you get down to one or two days remaining?
My experience with reinstalling Norton Internet Security was that I was able to use the Norton Removal Tool, and reinstall my NIS and the local Identity Safe was still available to me.
That said, be sure to backup your Identity Safe vault , before reinstalling.
