Hello,
I do apologise if this is long but, I need to explain with as much details as possible so you get a picture of my delemer.
I would like to say to Norton thanks for giving me the worst Customer Support experience that I have ever experienced in my entire life. It was and appalling experience that I never want to go through again. It's not the guys in Customer Supports fault. It's down to outsourcing and inadequate training. They two guys I spoke to were pleasant and gave good support. I am still left without any resolution to my problem which is frustrating and really hacked me off. I don't believe in shouting swearing because it doesn't get you anywhere at all. but I am extremely annoyed with the poor level of support that I have experienced today. As I said, this is purely down to poor training. If this doesn't get sorted I will be requesting for a full refund.
My Issue...
I have just purchased Norton 360 Multi-Device so that I can run Norton on my Android Device as well. could't be more simple could it. Well you'd think it would but it's turning into a nightmare of an experience.
Last year I purchased an Android tablet. Worst mistake of my life, I took it back and purchased a very high spec touch screen Windows 8.1 notebook instead which was 3 times the cost of my original purchase. I purchased Norton Mobile Security but my tablet was so crap, Norton Mobile Security was using up most of the resources and my tablet was running so slow it was inoperable. I cancelled the Norton Mobile Security and uninstalled the software. Although, now I realised that I should have securely removed the credentials from the tablet and phone before uninstalling the software.
The Problem...
Norton VIP Access is still tied to my old handset and tablet which means that I cannot add a device because it wants me to verify the VSMT code which I cannot because my old device is still tied to my old device on my Norton Mobile Security Account.
I did ask Norton Customer Support if they could delete all the details on my Norton Mobile Security Account and then I can add the new VSMT12345678910 and then enter the code to tie the new handset to my account. It's not rocket science, it's not hard to work out. But... and I say again, this is down to poor training, Customer Support couldn't resolve the matter at all. All I wanted if for the mobile numbers and any other contact details to be deleted. Otherwise I have just wasted money on Norton 360 Multi-Device.
The Task...
To me this sounds a simplistic task that should be straightforward to do. Delete all details from a specific Norton Mobile Security Account. then I can add a new device and install and activate Norton Mobile Security.
So Frustrating... I'm off for 6 days if this isn't resolved by the time I come back I'll be requesting for a refund, simple as that.
Regards,
Mel
