Norton 360 not scanning

Norton 360 keeps failing at the start of the Quick Scan. In fact, it fails immediately.

 

I have completely uninstalled and re-installed 3 times. First scan works. A week later, the Quick Scan (and in fact, any other scan) kicks in and fails this way. If I try any other type of scan, same failure.

 

Rather than simply uninstalling and re-installing for it to fail on its second scan, is there any means of finding an error message relating to the failure so I can find a permanent fix?
