I have been trying to install Norton 360 onto my Glaxay Tablet A 6 and when I try to download from the link on the email I get a message saying that my tablet requires Android 6 ot more to work.
My tablet is currently on Android Version 5.1.1.
How can I get this to work please?
Youre most welcome!! Stay healthy out there.

Thanks everyone for your assistance. I really only wanted to take advantage of the fact you can use Norton on up to 10 devices.
I already have it on my desktop, laptop and mobile phone and thought I would use it on my tablet as well.
I did actually have an online chat with one of the Technical agents from Norton and he said that it would work if I did this.
Open the following website link <removed> nms
It will download APK file for Norton 360
Open that file to install Norton 360 on my Tablet
After installing the App open it and click sign in
Log in there with Norton Account credentials and subscription will get activated
I tried this and got the same message that it required Android 6.
I am not going to try anymore and will just try soemthing else that is compatible.
I'm totally in agreement with peterweb. The reason for trying to specify if your tablet was branded for example, for Verizon or AT&T here in the US was to see if yours was the same where you are. Most carriers have ROM's available for downloading, a ROM is just another term for a factory image of the newer version of Android. As peterweb suggested there MAY be other A/V apps out there still supporting Android Lolllipop. I was about to suggest Malwarebytes for mobile but they too, require Android 6 or higher. Avast still support Android 5 and up. More options and link are available here on Tom's Guide site.

I did have a look online to see if I could find a way to upgrade to version 6 whcih is seemingly what I need but it looked either risky or complicated.
As you say, anything you might find to try to update a device that is not eligible for legitimate updates from the manufacturer will be risky. You would have less risk running your device with no AV product.
You may still be able to find some other AV products that still support the older Android versions.
Hi SA, I had just checked for software updates the other day and the version I am on is the latest Android 5.1.1
I don't think it is branded. I use Virgin Media WiFi. Not sure I am totally with you though I am not that technical.

Is your tablet "branded" meaning made for a specific wireless carrier, or just an unbranded, unlocked version? Have you checked your settings to see if there is an update available IF your device hardware will support it?

Unfortunately, as the message noted, you need to have at least Android 6 to install Norton 360 Android. There is no work around for this.
