Norton 360 on Windows 7 - Newbie

Hey guys,

 

I'm new to these forums, and I'm having some problems, so any help would be grealty appreciated.

 

A year ago, I purchased Nortin 360 All-in-One Security for my Windows XP computer.  About 2 months ago, I just bought another yearly subscription.  However, about a month ago, we upgraded to Windows 7.  I cannot use the CD to install Norton because it is not compatable with Windows 7. 

 

Do I have to purchase a new Norton product for Windows 7, even though I just bought a new subscription, or can I upgrade to a new Norton using my existing subscription code.  If so, how do I do this?

I followed the link you gave me.  How do I determine whether my product is premium or standard.  It's just called Norton All-In-One Security

If you have 2GB online storage it is Standard, if you have 25GB online storage it is Premier. Version information should also be in your Norton account.

Turbo -- does it show up in Help / About do you know?

Hi huwyngr, good question, I don't know. I've been meaning to try N360 since I can get it free through Comcast but haven't done it yet so I don't know if it shows there or not.

I believe that the edition type does not show up in the "About" menu or in the Norton account :-/ I think it is indicated on the CD or if Norton 360 was purchased as a download, in the confirmation e-mail.

Turbo -- Thanks. If you do get the Comcast version it will be interesting to know how they flag that one. I remembeer buying a copy of N360 (probably V1) from Office Depot once and it had a reference to them on one of the screens as a source for technical help .... but did not say if they meant on N360 or on computers generally.

I can see that if the only difference is in the on line storage then that must be flagged somewhere internally but you would think it would be made visible to the user somehow.
