Norton 360 Premier Backup settings lost during support session

I changed my password on the Norton site, and my Norton 360 Premier main panel stopped showing my userid after "Signed in as:" in the upper right hand corner.

I worked with Customer Support, and their "fix" involved uninstalling the program, and re-installing it. Time-consuming, and a seemingly "big-hammer" fix.It worked. No kudos for that design.

However, more disconcerting was the fact that my backup settings were lost during the process. Customized filetypes, folders/files that were included/excluded for backup purposes were lost in the shuffle.

WIBNI a user could manually  export and import backup settings, and further have this same process included in the uninstall/re-install process? <gripe>This is a mature product, that generates plenty of revenue, yet includes basic design oversights such as these. Not Good. </gripe>

Offered as a suggestion for improvements.

PS "Backups" is not a choice among the forum labels offered for use.
