Norton 360 Premiere

Hallo,

Hi,

do I understand you correctly that you had a previous version of Norton 360 premier (eg. version 3) or any other Norton security product, and now you downloaded and installer version 4 over it?

If yes, please do this:

1. Backup your Identity Safe data (Settings -> Identity Protection -> Backup)     -if the program is not functional, this step can be ignored, but after reinstallation you have to save all your logins again. There's a manual way, if you want to do it, please tell us we will give you the instructions, but this must be done before the reintall process
2. Download latest Norton 360 Premier installer: www.norton.com/n360p_4
3. Download Norton Removal Tool: www.norton.com/nrt
4. Disconnect from internet
5. Remove the old Norton product from Start Menu or from Control Panel -> Add or Remove programs
6. Reboot
7. Run the Norton Removal Tool, reboot (repeat it 2-3 times)
8. Install Norton 360 Premier
9. Reconnect to the internet
10. Activate Norton 360 v4 Premier

11. Run Live Update until you get no new updates
12. Restore your Identity Safe data (Settings ->Identity Protection -> Restore)

Let us know if this helps.

I can log on to identity safe and to my norton account but when I go under the heading settings and try to individually change anything it says I have the wrong password. I can also go in and click on liveupdate and it will work but my last norton 360 did that for me automatically. Sorry this is all new to me.

Thanks,

Ellen

Thanks for the help I think I have it figured out!

I have Norton 360 Premiere and I can log into my account but when I try to individually log in to settings it says I have the wrong password. Also my norton doesn't always do live update right away.

Thanks,

Ellen

Hi ellen,

If you fixed it - please let u snow what you did - as it may help others.  BTW I was getting ready to ask if you were on a Windows user account that had admin privledges ior a "limited" user account and also if youhad the correct password if you had password protction on your settings.
