Norton 360 - resource usage?

I'm considering Norton 360 V2 and wondering if it is light on resource usage, like NIS 2009?

And are upgrades to newer versions free (with valid subscription) like on NIS?

Thanks

N360 v2 is light on my P4. The only thing you may not like is LiveUpdate. There is a slightly noticible amount of lag during intensive tasks when LiveUpdate starts, for whatever reason.

NIS09 had almost zero impact and is leaner; less redundancies and faster. Also, it bumps up detection by almost 1 percent compared to the 08 engine used by N360. 1 percent of 1.1 million malware samples....that leaves ~100k samples undetected. Additionally, a unreleased beta of the NIS09 engine, tested in May, detected ~41% of malware with 1 mo. old signitures, compared to 18% by the 08 engine.
