Please could you provide an indication on the Windows 8.1 desktop or browser window whether secure vpn is on or off? (At the moment, the user has to launch Norton 360 in order to check whether secure vpn is on or off).
I just installed Norton Secure VPN a few days ago, and just found out it keeps turning itself off, and no way to see if it is not on without going through the Norton 360 panel to see it, and turn it on if it is off. To me, that is just plain dumb, and pretty much destroys any faith in it. TWO things desperately needed:
1; Make it automatic!
2: Put an icon in the tray showing it's status!
SecureVPN often switches itself off. It would be very important to have a separate VPN button in the toolbar to control VPN and display the current status.
Several GURUs have stated that Norton -- by design -- has structured the VPN to not run automatically.
I've only been using Norton 360 VPN for a few Months and I'm not aware of any way to make the VPN automatic. I might be interested if it were possible too.
Anyone?
yes I also want to know how do you make the norton vpn turn on automatically?
how do you make the norton vpn turn on automatically?
Yes, at least provide an icon for the System Tray and/or the Taskbar like Norton has for N360/My Norton and other functions that are actively running.
Currently, a user must hover the mouse pointer over the Network icon in the SysTray to confirm an active VPN Connection.
