I have re-installed Norton 360 many times, but the last time (June 6) seems to have worked. I still can't communicate with the Norton Server but I don't get the annoying "message notification"

I am a loss too, but can live with. It's quite annoying
I keep forgetting to ask, what OS and its version are you using? Do you have the Norton VPN or another VPN set to enable and run at startup? I'm running out of thoughts about what this issue is being caused by.

thanks, I have re-booted my computer, but the "message notification" is still there, but there are no messages
I still can't connect to the Norton Server
Please reboot to ensure that the setting changes are system wide.

your website says: Norton Remote Management sends the health status of your device and other information to the My Norton portal. You can use the My Norton portal to view, manage, or explore Norton products and fix some protection issues with your device remotely. By default, Remote Management is turned off.
I have turned the Remote Management "on"
hope this helps "see" what the issue is
My experience is with that setting set to ON. That allows the device to synch with your Norton account.

I can access Norton thru the website, but the mail has no messages
I checked my settings and the current setting for Remote Management is "off"
should Remote Management be "on"?
Can you successfully sign into your Norton account via their website? Can you determine if "remote management" is set in Norton settings?

this also didn't work, as the message notification is back and I still can't connect to the server
next??
Thanks for the post-back Murray. Hoping this corrects your issue.

Thanks for the reply
1 - I have disabled fast start up and re-booted
2 - I have also removed Norton 360 and re-booted
3 - did a search for Norton/Symantic folders/files still remaining and deleted them from my OS
4 - re-installed Norton 360, ran Live Update, did a scan, re-booted
I will give it a day to see if this worked and close the thread
This "solution" doesn't work as I still get "notifications"
