Norton 360 sign in problem

Hi,

 

I just updated to Norton 360 version 21.1.0.18 in order to get identity safe to work with Firefox 25. After the update I am unable to sign in to the Norton 360 application at the top right of the main applicaiton page.

 

I am able to sign into mynorton on the website so my username and password are working. Any ideas what is going wrong? Please help. Thanks.

Yes I have rebooted 3x since the upgrade. Still not working. Thanks.

Hi DomM,

Please select the MANAGE widget from your N 360 main page and see if you are signed in there - if not try to sign in there and see if it helps any. If you are signed in, try to sign out and then resign in.

Let is know the results.

Hi,

 

I used the widget and was able to sign in and access my account. I signed out.  Still unable to sign in to the N360 application. I get a red X and a message that says "failed to sign in."

If you sign in via Norton Management and then go to the main page does the "Signed in as:" show you signed in?

You do relieze that you do not need to be signed in for N 360 to function properly?  However you must be signed into your Norton Account if you are running an Online Vault.  Can you sign into your Norton Account when you attempt to sign into your Online Vault?

I am able to sign into vault and I am able to sign into my norton account. I understand N360 is working, I am just curious as to why I cannot sign into the application itself. 

 

As an aside, today I have 2 instances of N360 running in the system tray, yet my action center is telling me I do not have an active firewall.

 

All of these issues popped up when I upgraded to the latest version of N360. I was having no issues at all other than identity safe not working with firefox 25 with the old install. Thanks.

Yes when I sign in with the manage widget the web page shows me as signed in. It is just the application itself that does not show me as signed in.

I had the same problem and went online for support.

The tech offered to remote control my machine.

He went into explorer and deleted files.

Now all is well.
