@NortonNut Is your reference to changing user accounts in Windows? Just need a bit of clarity in that statement.

SoulAsylum - Yes, in Windows 11.
I assume at least one account has admin privileges when logged on the system, is that the case for both accounts? Just something that needs considering. I don’t get any automated quick scans when I boot but then I only have one account on my devices. Check for how you have your scans setup in Norton. My quick scans are set to manual.
Edited: Move your mouse cursor over to the right in the quick scan area, a cog icon will appear, open it and set your settings to your desired selection.

SoulAsylum - I have two accounts, an Admin account and a Standard User account. Only my Admin account has default admin privileges, but I can grant my Standard User account admin privileges if they are required to perform an action (I have UAC enabled).
On both accounts my quick scans are set to Run Manually (see screenshot below).
FYI, using the Norton remove/reinstall tool (NRnR) I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling my Norton 360 w/Lifelock Select to no avail.
Thanks for your help.
Have a great weekend.
Thanks for the post back and validation. I will try to duplicate on one of my Windows 11 machines then report what results I get. Enjoy your weekend as well.

SoulAsylum - Thought I should let you know that the reason I use two different accounts (Admin and Standard User) is that that is the Microsoft recommendation and to me it makes a lot of sense. If you are logged into your Admin account and someone hacks into your system, then all they need to do to approve performing an action that requires Admin privileges is to click yes to the UAC prompt. So, basically they have access to your whole system. To me that is pretty scary!
Also, it has occurred to me that this may not be a Norton 360 problem, but, rather a MS problem.
Finally, I have tested this on my other PC and the same thing occurs, so it is definitely not machine specific, either. Also, my Windows 11 OS is fully updated, so it is not that.
I tested on my Windows 10 Pro machines with an admin login and standard login profiles. Quick scan doesn’t start when the second profile is logged into nor logging back into the admin account. IMA this is on the previous version of Norton 22.24.8.36 . Will be testing one of my Windows 11 Pro laptops today and try to duplicate.
Trying to prepare for recovering my GF’s computer that was just 1 3/4 years old taking a dump yesterday afternoon. New mini-pc should arrive this afternoon for me to take her SSD and memory from the dumped computer, add it to the new then try to recover her data. Gotta do another backup since the USB drive she has her Macrium Reflect image on disappeared. Gotta love it.

SoulAsylum - thanks for your efforts, I reallly appreciate it. One more piece of info: I found out through testing that a new quick scan is also started if you kick off a quick scan, then put the pc to sleep, wait awhile for the scan to complete, and wake it. So, it doesn’t just occur when switching to the account that kicked off the scan..
I discovered that Norton 360 w/Lifelock Select will continue to run a scan even if you sign out of the user account you were in when you kicked off the scan. I thought this was a bit odd. My understanding of what happens when you sign out of a Windows 11 user account is that it terminates any apps you had running. Also, when I sign back in to that user account Norton 360 w/Lifelock Select does not start another scan, which I was happy to see that is the case.
However, is Norton 360 w/Lifelock Select supposed to keep the scan running when you sign out of the user account? Any help on this and on my original question would be greatly appreciated.
