Norton 360 v2 backup HUGE file size

I'm running Vista 64, Norton 360 and backing up to a 1TB network drive.  I have approxiamately 55 GB of data to backup.  My network drive folder (N360_BACKUP) is about 843GB!

 

How can I get my backup to be less than the file size that I am trying to backup?

I'm not 100% sure what your asking.

 

Its a 'Quick Backup' the files to back up are pictures, Financial Files, Office docs, other, music and video.
The destination is my  Z drive, and its scheduled to be Automatic.
