Norton 360 v6 blocking Google Chrome?

I am using IE9 predominantly but sometimes have to open a Google Chrome window for certain websites.

I've been using Norton 360 and have not experienced any conflicts. A few days ago my Norton 360 subscription expired so I bought the latest v6 and installed it. Now I can't get Chrome to respond. I uninstalled Chrome and tried to reinstall it. The Chrome reinstall won't work. Chrome's discussion pages indicate a conflict with antivirus software and recommend disabling the antivirus protection. I don't see anywhere in the Norton firewall where Chrome is being blocked. I am not willing to disable antivirus protection. Chrome worked with my previous version of Norton 360 (not turned off).  I don't see why it won't work with the latest version. How do I fix this?

To be clear, the Norton 360 box shows "v6". On my Norton program dashboard, under Support, About, the version is 20.2.0.10

Thank you.
