My Norton 360 VPN has lately started to block my access toa particular website. I'm in Australia and the website is Foxtel TV Guide (no problem with any others) which tells me " something like "Access Denied. You are not authorised to access from this server"
When I disconnect the VPN I can connect normally. My VPN says it connects in Australia.
It didn't always do this. I'm on an iMac all up to date.
Any ideas?
I have used Noton VPN in the past. It was really good enough and impressed me a lot. I was a big fan of using it. But I also known how to speed up VPN service. Because in the past I read articles from different sources how to speed up VPN. Therefore, I had a little bit of experience using Norton VPN service. Thank you!
This site has been working for years but I'm not sure when I installed the VPN. I can get the site when the VPN is off and leave the page open and reconnect the VPN but it won't allow me to refresh it ie the site only works when the VPN is off. It's not a big deal, I don't need it more than once a day. I haven't noticed a difference to that rule after the VPN has been reconnected.
Many web sites block access to known VPN servers for legal/copyright reasons.
Are you saying you have been able to access that site using Norton VPN in the past while connected to an Australian virtual location? When you get blocked, try turning off the VPN, and waiting a few minutes and then try connecting again. You may get a different server IP address that might allow you to access the site again.
It is also possible that that site recently updated their list of servers to be blocked.
