I've had 360 installed for almost a year (version 6, premier). A couple days ago i got an error, but I don't remember the numbers. The support link suggested running NPE, which I did and no issues were found. A few hours later I got another error. The support link suggested running Norton Removal Tool and reinstalling. I ran NRT, dowloaded the installer from my account and have tried to reinistall about 30 times. The installation (20.2.0.19) gets to the "Explore Norton 360 ->" link, but never completes. Task manager shows ccSvcHost running as system and as my profile with no increasing memory usage but no processor cycles. If I let this proceed for long enough, i get error 8504, 104 or a simple an error has occured. During this time, I have no internet access, but can ping from cmd. Interestingly, if I run NRT again and reboot again, I get internet access back. Windows firewall is off, connections have been rebuilt, same results connected through router and directly to cable modem. The other PCs here work fine (with norton installed). Also, if try to install from the CD I originally got 360 from, it says it installed correctly and to reboot, but will only boot to safe mode. Below is the current IP config (reinstalled 360, no change in the ipconfig data btw). I am thinking that the Nortel connection might be causing an issue, but it is not listed in connections and I am unable to unistall it. Any thoughts? I've spend hours scouring the posts for fixes, but none seems to make any difference.
