Norton 360 with Microsoft Safety Scanner

I have 360 on WIN 7 Ultimate.

From Microsoft community advise me to perform Microsoft Safety Scanner at :

http://www.microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

Do you think of non compatibility with the 360 ?

Although I haven't heard of it before, it does say it's an on demand scanner and expires in 10 days. It sounds like it gets it's definitions  when you  download the program and those definitions don't seem like they update again. If this is the case, then it seems like you will be scanning with definitons which are not up to date. It does sound like it might be compatible with N360.

 

We usually recommend the free versions of Malwarebytes and SUPERantiSpyware programs as on demand scanners because they update their definitions several times a day.
