Sorry for late reply here. My version of Norton 360 Android also does not show the App Security for Google Play feature that I can turn on or off. Now I have to say that I’m on the beta channel for updates and my version is 5.124.x.x.x.
I have flagged your other thread here for my Norton contacts to look into the issue with the App Scan not being available. I’m wondering if this may be a feature that is getting rolled into the AI Genie ‘feature’? I have not heard anything back yet. I’ll bump that request.
Unfortunately I am not getting any feedback. The best I can offer is that the latest version in the Play Store shows in the app description that app advisor now appears to check the apps with AI as it comes into the device, as I suggested above.
If you mean does it show the safety of an app in the Google Play Store, I don’t think so. The description of the App Advisor feature in my image above seems to say apps are scanned on your device.
As I noted, I have not been able to get any feedback so I cannot confirm my assumptions. I can only confirm that the scan notices are not there in the Play Store any more.
I have to admit that I did not follow my usual advice for an app issue. I finally uninstalled 360 from my Samsung A15 on Android 16. Restarted the phone and then reinstalled 360. I now have the App Advisor settings in 360 and the messages are shown in the Google Play Store app again.
