Norton Anti-Spam Emails

Yesterday, 7/12/11, I began receiving Norton Anti-Spam emails in my inbox.  I received 11 yesterday.  Why has this happened and how do I correct?  "Windows Live Mail"  is my email.

Hi, thanks for the reply.  I have not listed the email addresses in Norton as this just happened yesterday.  I am using Norton 360.

Thanks,

Sylvia

Hi Sylvia,

Follow these steps:

-----------------------

1) Go to the Settings Menu --> Anti Spam --> Click on Blocked List

2) Add the email address which you want to be blocked [ hence forth you will not receive emails from the id ]

3) Then apply the settings.

And FYI, Norton Antispam is compatible with,

--> Outlook 2000 or later

--> Outlook Express 5.5 SP2, 6.0, and 6.01 SP1

Let me know, if you have any problem..!!!!!!

Norton 360 works fine with Windows Live Mail, but the Antispam toolbar will not integrate into Windows Live Mail, and Norton only scans standard non-SSL ports(POP3 & SMTP). Norton Antispam always identifies and tags spam when installed and enabled. The "subject" header of the suspected spam e-mail is modified to insert the tag "[Norton AntiSpam]". You can configure Windows Live Mail to move the tagged spam to a spam folder.

• To do this, first create a folder called "Norton AntiSpam Folder".

• Then create a filter rule in your e-mail client to automatically filter e-mails containing the tag "Norton AntiSpam" in the subject header to this "Norton AntiSpam Folder".

• Periodically monitor this "Norton AntiSpam Folder" for any non-spam mails or False Positives and then delete them.
