Yes, it is okay to Install Norton AntiBot on to your computers with Norton Internet Security.  You can install Norton AntiBot on to three home computers.

I agree with Floating_Red; Norton AntiBot is very helpful in providing an additional layer of security for your system, and is certainly worthwhile. Norton AntiBot can be installed on 3 PCs.

It says on the symantec Online Store that Norton AntiBot can be installed on up to "three household" P.C.s.

Thanks for the replies guys.

I'll hang fire until it's clear whether it's for 1 or 3 machines, although to be honest - if it is $29.99 per machine as Tony suggest, then I think I'll not bother - and just use NIS :)
Edit: Just found where you're referring to Floating_Red, namely here.
"Protection for up to 3 PCs per household"

 

Although it's not mentioned either way on the link from Symantec.com.

Hey Tony,

 

No worries - thanks for clarification -- thought it was strange when you said it was just for 1PC when it's a less diverse product than NIS.
Also, great to hear that it can be used on upto 3 :)

Hey guys.

 

One last question about AntiBot (I'm currently evaluating it), I notice that on the "Settings" tab there is a "Check for Updates" button.
Is it necessary for me to manually check for updates for Norton AntiBot?

NIS 2008 which I also have installed checks for and installs updates automatically.
