Norton antispam and Outlook

Hi all,

I would like to activate my Norton to block spam. I have followed instructions on the Norton website, but when I go to Settings, it goes straight to Tour and Launch View, and nothing is clickable. Also I would like this to be automated that is, when I block an email, it automatically goes into this list. I don't want to add each one manually.

Thank you!

Ciao!

Ingrid

You're very welcome.

Hopefully adjusting those settings will help reduce or eliminate most of the spam you receive...smiley

Great, JJ, thanks.

I watched the vids and they were very helpful! I am going to work on their suggestions too.

You've been great - ta a mil!

Oh gosh frown Thank you though. Sigh .....

Hi Ingrid Kennedy,

Here are two MS Support articles with short videos that might be of some help with MS Office Outlook settings on how to deal with and block spam emails.

You cannot stop spam emails from being sent to you. All you can do is filter it when gets to your computer using tools like the spam filtering tool in Norton or your email software (Outlook).

Thank you JJ, and I manually added items to the block list, but the SPAM still appears. What the .... Even if I click on Block Sender in Outlook, or set a Rule in Outlook they still slip in. What is one to do????

Hi Ingrid Kennedy,

Please right click the Norton Icon in lower right corner of screen (system Tray).

trayicon2.jpgSelect "Open Norton" from the menu, not "Open My Norton".  This will open the Classic user interface shown below.

Norton GUI2.jpgJust under the top blue bar, click "Settings" > AntiSpam > Filter and ensure Norton AntiSpam is set to On (green). Then click Client Integration tab and ensure Email Clients > Outlook is set to On (green).
