Norton Antispam Folder for Outlook Express

I use Outlook Express 6 and the current version of Norton Internet Security.  My issue is that when I tag an eMail as Spam, NIS doesn't put future receipts of that eMail into the existing Norton Antispam Folder for that eMail user.  Instead, NIS randomly selects another existing folder for that eMail user and puts the Spam eMail into it.  How can I correct this?

Hi parev,

Can you please check if the sender address of the spam concerned is added to 'Blocked List' in Norton Internet Security's Antispam Settings? If so, future mails from this sender should ideally be tagged as spam by Norton and those mails will have the tag saying '[Norton AntiSpam]' on their subject. So also check if the subject line of those mails carry the tag.

Also, please let us know if there are any other rules set in Outlook Express to redirect specific mails to specific folders. And, what is the version number of NIS you are running?

Thanks!

Yes, the eMail that is put into an incorrect folder instead of into the designated Norton Antispam Folder, is tagged as Spam and is in the list of files classified as spam.  I use NIS 20.3.1.22.

Norton AntiSpam creates an Outlook Express rule which is resposible for moving an email  with "[Norton AntiSpam]" Tag in the subject to "Norton AntiSpam" Folder.

In your case, I am afraid there may be other Outlook Express Rules which take precedence over the Norton AntiSpam Rule. If there are other such mail rules, they could have possibly been created by some other Outlook Express Add-in or they could have been created manually.

Can you please check if you have any other add-in running with Outlook Express? Also, do you have any other Outlook Express Rules created to handle specific mails?
