It turns green almost immediately after the message is displayed

Hello,
Every time I log into my PC I get the following popup:
"You have turned off your Antivirus protection. You system may be more vulnarable to viruses and intrusions."
However, immediately after that my Norton icon gets the green checkmark and if I open Norton Protection Center it says everything is secure and the antivirus is indeed turned on. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling NAV but still get the same behavior.
Anyone have any clue here? I'm running Vista 64 bit.
Thanks,
NM
Hello NM,
The message text seems consistent with a Windows Security Center warning (let me know if that is not the case). Given that, can you confirm whether after status is confirmed "green" WSC reports all nominal?
Thanks,
Matt
It was a Norton generated popup message. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling NAV with no improvement. I finally fixed the problem by uninstalling NAV, then using the Norton Removal Tool, then using the selective startup and reinstalling NAV, whew. . .
Anyway all OK now.
Thanks,
NM
Hi NM,
I'm glad to hear the problem was resolved. Let us know if there is anything else we can help with.
Matt
For how long does the message stay untill it turns to green?
