Hello, this is a fairly reproducible bug for me. Can anyone else verify it? (Problem is, it takes about half an hour to verify.)
I discovered a problem where if my Mac sleeps due to an extended idle time as defined in System Preferences: Energy, then when it wakes up, the screen shows but all functions are non-responsive. The mouse moves, but nothing is clickable & the menubar clock is frozen. This problem didn't occur when the Mac was put to sleep manually via a lid closure or an Apple menu: Sleep command. After a while, I tracked this problem down to Norton Antivirus. I uninstalled NAVMac & the problem resolved. I reinstalled NAVM & the problem was still okay.
However, the problem recurred when the computer auto-slept again while NAVM was in the middle of scanning a large disk. And persisted. It seems that NAVM thinks it is in the middle of a scan still & this somehow affects the sleep/wake cycle.
Another side effect is that while this problem is present, insertion/mounting of a disk doesn't trigger the auto-disk scan progress window. I don't know if the auto-disk scan is actually occurring, just that there is no window indicating that it is. After reinstallation of NAVM, this window reappeared.
