Issue abstract: software updater will not disable. the slider is turned off but it still is telling me to update windows. The computer manufactor and Microsoft Corporation will decide when to update and what version will be updated. Third parties such as norton only choose the highest version number. Turning off auto update has not worked. There is a scarey chance norton will install an unwanted version of something.
