Norton Backup - What am I missing?

Hello, I recently started using N360 and the backup facility has me completely confused :smileysad:

What I want to do is backup drive C: to my Maxtor. How do I accomplish that? (What I could do of course is just click on C: select copy, open my Maxtor drive and click Paste, but N360 can do this for me on a schedule).

If I do "Manage Backups" it brings up a list of file types found everywhere. So I dont want that, I want all files of all types on C:

If I set the source as C: and select all types it says my backup set will be 47k?, which appears to only be the internet favorites.

If I add C: as a folder, the count of file types doesnt change, its still 47k, if I click on a file type, it shows that C: is not checked.

I had a look through the help files and there is no relevant information there on how to backup an entire drive. What I was hoping for was a window like the Windows Backup, which shows a tree of files/folders and you click on the ones you want.

What am I missing here?

Hi Eagle

Is this your screen?

You can only back up your own Data.NOT WINDOWS or PROGRAMS.

If you are looking to back up FULL WINDOWS DRIVE, you need Norton Ghost.

Oh dear, I bought N360 and it doesn't have ghost functionality (I thought that was the backup part :smileysad:). I feel a bit duped.

I've found N360 to be disappointing in many areas and since six licenses (two years times three) were sold to me with a new computer, I managed to get my money back today. So I've switched to a certain competitor, which has a proper backup and sync solution included.

Symantec software so hard to remove!, I used the removal tool but it still took me hours to clean the computer of stray folders, reg entries etc. etc.
