Norton Bootable Recovery Tool disc isn't working

Hello all,

I burned Norton Bootable Recovery Tool onto a CD, put it in the drive and rebooted my machine.  The tool did not launch; instead Windows XP loaded up as per usual.  No signs of any activity from the Norton Bootable Recovery Tool.

I went into BIOS to make sure that my CD drive was the first on the boot priority list, retried the process.  No joy.

Any advice?  I'm trying to deal with a nasty Redirect virus that has eluded Norton Antivirus, Norton Power Eraser, and numerous other anti-malware, anti-spyware and anti-virus tools.
