Norton Bootable Recovery Tool Doesn't Work

I've tried to use the Norton Bootable Recovery Tool.  After entering my product code I have two error messages.

1) If I try to perform the Power Eraser Recovery Scan I receive an error message "Error getting system path, error code 0x80045006,0"

2) If I try to perform the Norton Advanced Recovery Scan I receive the error message "unable to access disk" after it tries scanning the MBR for viruses.

I am running Windows XP, with Norton 360

Thanks.

I doubled checked and the file that I downloaded was the one on the right "NBRT-Retail-Downloader"

Hi,

Why are you trying to use the NBRT? Something must have happened to make you think that it would be the thing to do. Can you fill us in about that part of the sequence? Also, your operating system and version of 360 you are running.

Thanks

Hi,

1. Are you able to boot into the machine normally without using a recovery disk?

2. If not, was there a malware incident on the machine before it stopped booting and what was the name of the malware?
