norton causing internet disconnects

Hello, I am using the norton internet securtity suite 5.1.0.29 provided by comcast.

I am using a vpn for work (Cisco AnyConnect VPN)

 

We use a softphone to speak with each other at work ( a skype type connection)

I also am running yahoo and msn messengers.

I also have a jabber client running.

 

All 4 of these lose internet at the same time for about 45 seconds on a sporadic basis.

I have 14 cases of internet loss in the last 4 days, all 14 match the norton log to the second.

 

The only common in all of them is a log from the norton product that states:

 C:\windows\syswow64\Wbem\wmiprvse.exe (Actor)

C:\Program Files (x86 )\Norton Security Suite\ Engine\5.1.0.29\ccsvhst.exe (target)

Access Process Data (action)

Unautorized access blocked (Reaction)

 

I am aware that its part of norton protecting itself.

I am aware this is a valid microsoft file (Wmiprvse)

What I would like help with is what steps I can take to prevent this check from blocking my internet for 45 seconds when this event occurs.
