Detailed description: I got a new device and went onto Norton.com to remove the one I was replacing. When I get there I find that 4 of my 9 devices are marked as “Inactive”. Yet I am using all but one of them and I’m using my phone (marked inactive) right now. How do I fix this. or does it even matter and I’m still protected. The only devices thst show active are my computers. And the inactive ones (That are actually active state Not Protected.
Also my phone, my computer, and my tablet all list a different number of used devices on the same account.
New problem: I tried deleting one of the devices and adding it again. The ADD DEVICE button is grayed out and I cannot add it back.

If you are looking at the Devices page of your Norton Account, that has been notorious for being incorrect/outdated. To find the correct information on what devices are protected you need to look at the My Subscriptions page by clicking on My Account at the top right of your Norton Account page and then click on My Subscriptions. Find your current subscription, then click on Manage Devices. That will bring up a list of the active devices on your subscription.
Again, if you are doing this from the Devices page, then it probably did not delete the device from the Subscriptions page. First, restart the device you removed. Then be sure you have refresh your browser and see if you see the download button in your Norton Account. Use that to install again on the device. If the device is a phone or tablet, you need to go to the appropriate app store for that device and install Norton 360 from there. Then during the installation process, tap on Redeem Subscription and then Sign into your Norton Account to activate the app.
