I am interested in using Norton ConnectSafe to provide filtering on my home network. However, I tried it out (using the most restrictive policy - Policy C) and was able to access proxy sites (such as hide.me/en/proxy ) without a problem. A filter is pretty much useless if proxy sites are allowed.
Other products that provide a similar service (such as OpenDNS Family Shield) block proxy sites in addition to the regular blocked categories.
