Norton Connectsafe

Hi there,

I am currently trying to obtain pricing for Norton Connectsafe for one of my business clients and am tearing my hair out.  I have mailed Connectsafe@symantec.com as advised and have had a reply to say click on the 'get started' button which I have done 4 times and all it does is take me to the 'FAQ' link and directs me to email queries to dns4biz@symantec.com.

I have emailed them 3 weeks ago and again last week and no-one has replied.  The person replying to the Connectsafe@symantec.com email says 'I’m sorry I don’t have the authorities to help you with the matter'!

All I need is an idea of pricing to put into a proposal, I know we will win the business so there is definite revenue for Norton here but no-one seems to give a hoot!

Please can anyone help with where I can get urgent pricing from?  I have to have this proposal in by tomorrow at 4pm.

Frank, that is interesting.  I'd suggest that even if ConnectSafe was still alive that it is no longer maintained.  It used to be constantly updated but it probably isn't anymore.

In any case, I've asked for clarification.

I just ran this...

If I understand it correctly -- when DNS Jumper pings the DNS server, it has to get pinged back, or it won't show up on the list.  This would indicate that it's active in some way.

I use DNS Jumper.

You can see "Norton ConnectSafe" few slots down, and then further, you can see "Norton DNS"... so I know, that's sorta weird since it's 'retired.'

What DNS compare utility?  If you mean something like DNS Benchmark, Norton ConnectSafe was probably included with the default servers.  I haven't checked since ConnectSafe was discontinued, but I'd be surprised if they were still reachable.
