Yesterday, Norton informed me that it had trojans and removed them. When I looked at the files, the appeared to be files from the new game, the rift. Naturally, the game no longer runs. How can I tell Norton, leave the Rift alone? Is there a way to get my files back?
Some users reported finding this malicious file after downloading Rift from a second-party site.
C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Temp\nswF405.tmp\O CSetupHlp.dll
One user reported that AVG detected it as "Adware:Win32/OpenCandy"
If you downloaded it from a second-party site it's likely that it's malware fair and square and Norton is doing its job.

Kelly
