Issue abstract: Norton miscounts protected devices.
Detailed description: Norton Utilities Ultimate is supposed to protect me from bad files, redundancies, etc. yet it does not protect against Norton iteself.
My Norton 360 counts the same device multiple times because Norton updates, become redundant programs on the same device counting itself two or more times for each computer on multiple computers. My plan covers 10-devices, I have six installed and on many of them Norton counts the device several times.
Norton Helpline informs me that I have installed on 10-separate devices despite seeing the same devices listed multiple times. When they realize the error they give me a phone number to call and complain.
Product & version number:
Norton 360 in many many versions that updating did not remove.
OS details: Windows
What is the error message you are seeing?
Not an error message. An abuse by Norton counting my device limit against the number of the same application installed on the same devices that it should have overwritten, or by its very nature protected against, but instead limits my ability to utilize the licenses I have paid for by double and triple charging me for individual devices that have multiple copies of Norton.
