ITEM TWO:
Inoperable Hardware Device PS/2 Standard Keyboard device is not present, not working, or does not have all of its drivers; Plug and Play ID: ACPI\PNP0303\4&23C38ACE
ACTIVITY:
All Devices have their updates, and all devices register in Device Manager as:
HID-Complaint Mouse
HID-Keyboard Device
There are no yellow exclamation marks present anywhere in the Device Manager, and the event logs shows a clean startup of all devices; devices are functioning properly.
PROBLEM: Norton 360 is reporting in the Diagnostic Report to fix inoperable hardware devices, and when I click on the -Fix it- icon it does not fix anything; instead, Norton 360 reports what I have stated above in Item One and Item Two; therefore, Norton 360 wants me to manually resolve the problem.
SYSTEM:
Symantec: Norton 360 with 227 days remaining before renewal
Operating System: Windows 7 Professional 64 bit
Computer: HP Elite 8000 Convertible E8500 (CMT) Mini-Desktop Personal Computer
Mouse: AST USB Mouse
Keyboard: AST USB Standard Keyboard
DESIRED SOLUTION:
Instructions on how to manually -FIX IT- so that the check marks in Diagnostic Report are all green. If the solution is to disregard the warning; then, please give instructions to make Norton ignore the warning and to give me all green check marks so that Norton 360 is running as it has been designed to do when operating in a Totally Clean State.
Thank You
